The new Fotoman 617 Mark II cameras are now available.

Although very similar in appearance there are a number of significant improvements.

Most noticeable is the new viewfinder. It is much improved optically and the one finder now can be used

with most focal length lenses, provided the appropriate mask is fitted to it. The new finder incorporates
internal masks giving a clearer defined edge to the image.

The new finder also has a built in spirit level to ensure the camera is level when taking photographs.

Three accessory shoe are now standard to allow the use of items such as multiple flash units,

extra spirit levels and of course the viewfinder.

Not immediately obvious is the new high precision focusing mount which now comes as standard across

the entire range of bodies. This mount feels and operates like the precision unit it is.

Focusing is as smooth as silk and as a result more accurate.

The new hinged back opens wide to make film loading and unloading very easy whether the camera is on
the tripod or not. 

The move to a new factory has also meant that each and every Fotoman camera is subject to higher standard

of quality control. This is evident in the overall improvement and feel of the new series.

Fotoman 45PS

The Fotoman 45PS Large Format camera has now been released and like the Fotoman 617 it has been the subject of

great improvements and finish. This entry level large format camera is ideal for the enthusiastic photographer who wants to move in

the most interesting of all photographic format. The Fotoman 45PS takes 4x5" double dark film holders, Kodak or Fuji film

packs as well as the Polaroid 545 film holder. This easy to use large format camera will accept almost any large format lens
