Voigtlander Bessa R4-a Camera Body (Matte black)
The latest in the series of affordable Voigtlander rangefinder cameras, Bessa R4-A is aimed squarely at the photographer who likes to use wide angle lenses. The Bessa R4-A features a high eyepoint viewfinder with frames for 21mm, 25mm, 28mm, 35mm and 50mm. This makes it perfect for dramatic ultra wide angle photos as well as candid images when using 50mm lenses.
The vertical travel metal focal plane shutter has speeds from 1-1/2000th sec as well as a "B" (time exposure) setting. The TTL (through the lens) exposure meter provides accurate exposures even under demanding light conditions. The aparture priority "A" setting allows semi automatic picture taking when time is at a premium.
Focusing is achieved by the extremely bright rangefinder/viewfinder combination. This is possibly the easiest system to use for candid photographs under dim light conditions. Do you wear spectacles? Then the Bessa R4 cameras will delight you with their ease of use.
