Voigtlander Bessa R4-M black body
Like the Voigtlander Bessa R4-A, the Bessa R4-M was also created with the photographer who likes to use wide angle lenses in mind. The Bessa R4-M has most of the features of the Bessa R4-A with two important differences. The R4-M has a fully mechanical shutter which will operate at all speeds in case of (rare) battery failure. Due the different shutter there is no aparture priority mode.
The high eyepoint viewfinder is the same as in the Bessa R4-A with 21mm, 25mm, 28mm, 35mm and 50mm frames showing up brightly under any light condition.
The vertical travel metal focal plane shutter has speeds from 1-1/2000th sec as well as a "B" (time exposure) setting. The TTL (Through the lens) exposure meter provides accurate exposures even under demanding light conditions.
Focusing is achieved by the extremely bright rangefinder/viewfinder combination. This is possibly the easiest system to use for candid photographs under dim light conditions. Do you wear spectacles? Then the Bessa R4 cameras will delight you with their ease of use.
