If you shoot digital you should be using the Kasemann polarisers. Why?
Other brand polarisers are made with cheap plastic polarising foils that distort and degrade your images.
The Kasemann polariser foil is made in germany and is protected by patent laws No one except 2 German companies can use it.
The foil used in these filters apart from being optically perfect is more neutral in colour than the asian made filters.
These filters DO NOT over saturate the blues in order to polarise the image. You get perfect results that look natural.
Think of the difference between cheap sunglasses and expensive high quality ones the same applies to filters dont put a cheap filter on your lens and give yourself headaches!

Do not make the mistake of buying cheap filters, even those big consumer brands will degrade your photos they affect the contrast and sharpness and even worst cause flare. You are better off without a filter on your lens than fitting it with a cheap one. It is like putting cheap tyres on a car...... you get the performance you paid for.
B+W filters will perform as good as or better than your lens optics. Guaranteed! You have invested in a good camera and lenses for good images... do them justice with some good filters.
B+W Filters are mounted in full brass rings which has been anodised with a special matte black finish that will not create flare. The glass is cut from blocks of Schott glass ( the same material used for Leica and Ziess lenses etc) then ground and polished flat just like a high quality lens element. B+W is one of two manufacturers who does this... all the rest just stamp them out of sheet glass in massive quantities hence their lower price and performance.

B+W filters like Rolex watches attract the copy cats and the fakes can look pretty darn close to the original but what sets them apart is price. The fakes are cheap and usually sold out of HK or similar locations.
To confuse matters even more B+W makes a cheaper range of filters for the Asian market which are in a different mount, while we are told the glass is the same the mount is not it is a cheaper alloy. Some eBay sellers sell these out of HK check the description carefully.
Can you trust dishonest Sellers who offer to break the Law
Buyers should be aware of sellers that happily offer to break the law by declaring goods as gifts or reducing the price for customs....if they are that desperate to sell the product then what else would they do. Often you see or read the following from some less scrupulous sellers....... this is illegal.
- All packages will mark as "gift" and declare a reasonable value or base on your instruction.
Avoid these sellers like the plague if they are prepared to break the law how trustworthy can they be? Once feedback is left will they help if your purchase develops a problem?
